Gameplay? No Way! (But Actually Yes Way)


Hello hello everyone!

 Very exciting update on our progress! We've implemented GAMEPLAY! Ooooo, aaaaaa- very fancy, we know! All jokes aside, this build has a few cool features such as:

  • Improved movement
  • Several different character interactions
  • Many cutscenes
  • Updated inputs
  • More animated portraits
  • UI that updates based on the graphics quality
  • So much dialogue!

We did notice a few bugs from our last update! We have dealt with them accordingly. . . We've also made some general quality of life updates! These include:

  • Player no longer sticks to walls! Now you can slip and slide around as you please~
  • Jump button is now binded to space! You use 'E' to interact now!
  • A tutorial has been implemented! 
  • You can no longer move while interacting with NPCs, objects, or while adjusting the settings!
  • Rather than having a sprint key, we've decided to just increase player movement speed and use the shift key as a way to slow yourself down
  • Settings button platforms physics are no longer an issue, because you can't access this power yet >:)

The build currently ends after you leave Vaylor's area, as you're unable to move after you reach the next area, but this last upcoming demo will have all of the rooms featured in the previous build as completely playable areas! We're working on adding:

  • Sound design/ Music
  • Two more characters to interact with
  • More puzzles
  • More GAMEPLAY!
  • And of course, various bug fixes

For our final demo, we plan to show off three characters in depth, as well as two of the settings features that can be used to solve puzzles! It's been a long, winding journey, but we're close to the home stretch now! Thank you all for following along during our development! We can't wait to show everyone the completed demo!
